@jimmybuffettfanaccount It shouldn't be a hard question even if you're just after worldly success, because liberal churches ALWAYS see their membership collapse due to pathetically pandering to the kind of people who never go to church.

@ChristiJunior Unfortunately conservative churches that split off from a mainline denomination usually see a membership collapse too, first because the left leaning people leave then nobody young wants to join because it’s all old people and anyway it’s not like they’re hardcore rw or whatever you want to call it they’re just liberals who’ve said “no” to the current liberal project after saying “fine” to every one that came before. Conservatives are perennial losers in the church as much as in politics.

Preachers sermon today was basically “hey guys can we please just keep being a nice church doing nice church things and not make a big fuss about which side of the fag question we fall on so we don’t alienate the other side and force out half the congregation?” Sorry boss it doesn’t work like that. Everyone is going to have to choose.
