@lamp@kitty.haus I just got done with the DC Miku expo, the concert earplugs made it enjoyable. I'll piece together the full video and host it on YouTube tomorrow. I expected a Japanese band, it was a American band.
@lamp@kitty.haus probably could've just snuck it through with my oversized shirt, meh. Had a perfect place to put the tripod in front of the seat as well.
@lamp@kitty.haus OMG I checked the audio, I'm uploading the ear rape version (the mics made it the funny type). Miku Miku blow your ears off lol, those microphones were clearly too sensitive for this, I probably needed a dynamic Microphone with low sensitivity. How can you test for a mic to work in this environment before the set? I might've been able to adjust for sensitivity if I had technical knowhow.
@lamp@kitty.haus@mikunuma@miku.xn--q9jyb4c Yes you did, you said your primary Iphone mic didn't work and it fell back to the frontal speaking microphone which was also terrible. All of those microphones were too sensitive for the concert anyways. You said the sound came out tinny.
@lamp@kitty.haus The one that never played in the concert because the software fell back on the "bad" one? 🤔 I'm sure you need a -30-20dB sensitivity analog or digital microphone for this stuff. I must've missheard the tinny part idk.
@lamp@kitty.haus It's probably not the microphones themselves that's the problem, it needs a preamp or some kind or bass filter battery module. Fairly certain that effect only happens when it clips in the lower frequencies. I wonder if you can do it in post-processing.
@miku That's called clipping. It's when the wave exceeds its range and has to be clipped to the maximum. It happens if your gain is too high. I had none of that at all. The iPhone does automatic gain control so it's all normalized to fit. You can look at my waveforms in audacity.
@lamp@kitty.haus All my stuff is shit. oneodio 50 and whatever 35 dollar heaphone from ebay. You'd think a bad headphone won't pick up distortion (only monitor headphones will pick up that better).
@lamp@kitty.haus You know what, I just got a MDR-CD900ST just because of this, I will pick up EVERYTHING now :glare:. Don't want to hear another word for bad headphones. My mixes will be top notch.
@lamp@kitty.haus idk, it was listed in the hatsune miku v3 guidebook and it has been sitting on my mind for a while. Also would not reccomend blootooth apart from that vrchat headset stuff, that stuff has way too much latency.
