The only positive thing I've heard about it is removing screen tearing in certain NVIDIA cards that Xorg can't, but it's just using CPU rendering to fix the problem, it's a horse and pony trick. You need to use hardware that has native linux driver support, not hacky bullshit code tricks.
And the whole security thing is an absolute snake oil myth. There are working keylogging malware for wayland up on github right now.-

Hey if it fixes issues with their hardware then great but Im going to still use Xorg, and no neckbeard cultist can stop me.
