     @declarer7 Mention it most times it comes up, but the japanese don't view demons in the same way we do. Most anime demons are viewed closer through the lens of Yokai, which aren't seen as direct symbols of evil like western demons are. Yokai tend to be pretty diverse ranging from oni which are closer to western demons as personified evils to more mundane cryptids like kappas. It's why you'll see characters like Satania or Rias over in Japan.
