@naaksit I get that people do that sort of thing, though I don't do it myself. I'm just me wherever I go, maybe some places I avoid saying "fuck" or making too many jokes, but I don't alter the substance very much. I wonder what sort of thing I would end up posting if there was a place where I never had to deal with the fallout; probably my posts would be worse, and I suspect it'd require too much effort to maintain the barrier.
I never stopped anyone from doing it, but it kind of bothered me when people picked FSE to be caustic on and then they could retreat to the comfort of their main instance. This is my home; I have alts, but I don't really use them unless this place doesn't work. So if someone does that sort of thing here and then it's all angry yelling, it bothers me a little. "Hey, your place sucks, I'd like to make it worse by going there to say all my angry thoughts and then posting memes and being personable elsewhere."
But that's a personal thing, and from the site administration perspective, while FSE was open-registrations, there wasn't a reason to tell people not to do that, even if I wished they wouldn't. On the other hand, while there's this temporary place because I need a stable place to be, and I've opened it up for people that had FSE accounts so they've got somewhere to be, I don't plan to make any exceptions. When FSE gets to a state where registrations can be reopened on the primary domain, feel free (though I'd encourage you to reconsider).
