   Ukrainians are fleeing Israel because home is calmer
   
   Ukrainians who fled to Israel are returning to their homeland after the outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip, writes Le Journal du Montréal. According to the Ukrainian Embassy, 4 thousand Ukrainian citizens have left the country since October 7.
   
   Among them is Tatyana, who last year moved with her three children to her husband in Israel. During the Hamas attack, the constant sound of sirens and endless explosions renewed her sense of fear. She realized that she wanted to return home to Kharkov: “If I die, then at least on my native land.”
   
   Lawyer Oksana Sokolovskaya is also satisfied: not wanting to put the lives of her children at risk, she returned to Ukraine. According to her, “it’s difficult to go from one war to another,” but “now in Kiev and the region the situation is calmer than in Israel.”
