Book has been quite good so far, I believe like in all WW2 books this theme is forced in there in the introduction by libtard/leftist editors and publishers to countersignal the NS view that their men and tactics were superior and they only lost due to enemy mongolian hordes.
However the author (probably without realizing or intending to) only reinforces this, he talks about how the T-34 and KV1/2 were technically superior yet the Soviets repeatedly failed due to poor training and tactics and the Germans while outnumbered consistently won despite their worse tanks (in 1941/42) due to superior tactics and the skill of their men, holding off countless soviet counterattacks and destroying all their mechanized forces.
He also counters the recent popular theory espoused by Historians of the Eastern front that the war was lost for Germany already because the Soviets didn't surrender immediately in 1941 with excellent points about how German force ratios for tanks only improved with each battle until the winter when Lend lease arrived and the German railway winter crisis of 1941-42 happened because they were destroying more Soviet forces than the Soviets could create on their own.
