I translated a statement regarding the indigenous rights violations by the State of Norway at Fosen-Sápmi, published today by the Board of the Sámi parliament of Sweden.
It's too long for a toot, so you get it as a picture instead. I didn't want to remove parts of it to fit the character limit. Sorry.
For more on the referenced "situation at Alta", a major conflict between the indigenous Sámi and the State of Norway, which is considered to be the start of mainstream environmentalism in Norway, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alta_conflict.
The Sámi parliament of Sweden is a State Agency of the State of Sweden. The representatives, elected by the Sámi, can not do legislation nor taxation.
The "Board" is similar to what would be a "Government", if the parliament had been granted the power to self-govern by the occupying State of Sweden.
