Geared for simplicity and mass production, with all kinds of concessions to ease of manufacture. Nevertheless, it’s an effective, fun little thing, if you’re unlucky enough to be tapped to fly one in wartime. Today they’re known more for their brief stint as combat spotters and artillery directors, though most survivors were the usual fleet of couriers and trainers.
