   If they aren’t talking about costs, they’re fake faggots and I don’t like them. Everyone - EVERYONE - I know is being crushed by costs, having clean, manicured people and obvious upper classers talking about how they just went out and splurged on the 20th $500 project around the farm this year is so chafing to listen to.

   Guys are selling off calves because they can’t afford feed. They’re cutting feed back to 40% what they used to give in an effort to control costs. But somehow I never hear these stories from the “homesteading” crowd. It’s always some new fancy boy vitamin water dispenser for their hens because their feathers weren’t glossy enough.

   It’s not enough to let salt of the earth folk have their honor, they have to skin it off them and wear that too.
