   I hate people like this. You’re into “science” and materialism while you voyage out into the complete unknown while scorning all your forebears as fools for not being as enlightened as you.

   I’m sure this happened when people came back from foreign lands, telling people back home about the terrifying creatures they saw only to be told “uh, dude you’re probably talking about like, a cat, there isn’t such thing as a savage, 250-lb striped death cat across the sea”
