'Han' Vinck's illustration explaining Diffie-Hellman as mixing paint: both Alice and Bob start with a 'common' paint (exchanged in the open), mix it with a 'private' paint, and send the mixed paint over. By adding their 'private' paint to the received mixture, they both arrive at the same common secret, while an observer is none the wiser (assuming mixture separation is expensive).
