   to those not in the know, this iteration of Makuta is very inspired. the creator was struggling with his health when he came up with Bionicle, thus why the Toa appear in canisters and the inhabitants can be infected by evil through masks. Makuta is basically the personification of cancer - formless, the very cells turned against the body, with only a vague idea or face to label him.
   it's also a meta statement on Bionicle and Lego as a whole. creation and destruction are at the heart of the brand. Makuta is what happens to all lego sets left abandoned, returning to a mass of unassembled pieces void of the original shape.
   
   again, Lego went hard.
