   @matty I think a good deal is a blend. Indians have horrible audio because:
   
   1. They don't normalize headphone usage, but live in a noise environment. Zero concept of sound mastering
   
   2. Older, crappier tech that still serves, but has not been paid any attention by a competent or interested tuner.
   
   3. Monkey-level intellect makes them do stuff like "ah, that knob should be allllll the way to the right" without realizing it's the "Gain" control
