   Stuff like this makes me think the russkies have figured out the relative pointlessness of optics for the rifleman. Sure, the AK is garbage for mounting anything, particularly worthless by russian standards, but they’re plenty cheap compared to what they used to be.

   Maybe we’ve just gotten too hyped up on the utility of an individual rifleman after years of desert policing w/ 300-500 yd sightlines. Or the russians are just cheap. And the Ak doesn’t have good mounts for infantry.
