A view of an example of a FoFix game with a rock concert in the background with a large audience, and in the foreground the keys to come (they scroll from the background to the foreground, we'll have to reproduce them) and the actual keys, on what looks like a guitar neck. On both sides of the interface, a "Late" indicator (on the right, seems to indicate that the player is late in his typing), the duration of the song (at the top of the screen), and the score (on the left). FretsOnFireX is a fork of Frets on Fire, the libre and multiplatform equivalent of Guitar Hero or Rock Band. It's an instrumental karaoke whose objective is to play the guitar, bass or percussion as accurately as possible (using the keyboard or a musical instrument compatible with this type of game, to be plugged into the USB port) with the help of on-screen indications. FoFix adds support for up to 4 players locally, online multiplayer, themes, video background, bass and drum tracks, and preliminary lyrics support.
