   I just thought of that doug loves movies show because it was SOOOOOOO bad. The guy was a stoner but way, way too uptight about enforcing these gay rules about movie trivia. The show SHOULD have been a subtext to get a bunch of funny people in a room to play off each other, that way you’d provide entertainment with a basic framework to lean on when they can’t maintain momentum .

   Instead, he would crack down and make sure they were putting the game first, lose his temper at the audience and just destroy things any time it would start to get funny. Looking back, it’s appealing to a certain kind of autoismo that way, the guy who wants the ‘fun’ of a trivia game without the irritating aspects of having humans to play alongside.
