A side view of the game showing the base built by the player with different rooms built underground. Oxygen Not Included is a space colony and survival simulation game on an asteroid. The player leads (giving directives without direct control, with more or less success depending on resources and skills) his colony of newly landed colonists (called "duplicants"), starting with 3 colonists that he will try to make survive and then prosper. He will have to deal with hunger, waste, oxygen levels and other dangers (diseases, extreme temperatures). The game also simulates the diffusion of gases, the equalization of atmospheres between rooms and the flow of liquids.
