   @lina @lain @pomstan I'm not even kidding some book on PC-9801 graphics I scanned in literally has a whole chapter on how to use a scanner to scan in drawings for use as graphics for your game complete with a list of scanners that existed circa 1991.

   Ditto with vintage drawing programs that had a list of supported scanners on the box, and then there were also madlad mouse artists back in the day (see Amiga artists) who didn't focus on "can I do this as crudely as possible since I'm lazy" but "all I have is a mouse how can I draw something really cool in 640x400".
