The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) decided to replace hotline workers with a chatbot named Tessa four days after the workers unionized. Today, the NEDA took the chatbot down after it produced a number of harmful responses, such as encouraging unhealthy eating habits rather than helping someone with an eating disorder.
