@ChristiJunior Well that's the thing about censors, right? They never realize it comes for the things they like, too...
I, and at least one other person, have been waiting for a long while to be vindicated on this front. Shots of 2B's ass and her fighting in a dress and heels never ruined NieR Automata's story and emotional impact, did it? Or better yet, since I'm responding to you Christi, the tits out in Xenoblade 2 never made it any less of a story did it? The people that couldn't get over those elements had an insecurity with themselves.
Over the years it feels like they (they = decision makers and drivers of corpos) aim to reduce the attractiveness of females in some weird social-engineering attempt to condition the masculinity out of heterosexual men. I was honestly somewhat concerned it would always be one-sided with censorship on females, but... seems like they wanted to cover up the guys as well, too. May not be true; it could just be brainless suits just following the overton window.
I looked through the particular thread on Twitter that has the meme Vee used in the thumbnail of his video, and there are hints of the right people being disappointed by it. Most respondents are acknowledging that equality was delivered, just as people wanted. These are my favorites, with no indication of satire.
Honestly, it's like these corpos are just looking at the currently lowest hanging fruit to address. For a long while it was the bountiful tits, exposed skin, voluptuous ass, lean body shapes, sexual portrayals, and story circumstances female characters found themselves in when it came to video games. Many of said female characters were uglified or converted to the LGBT cult, the females looking like slightly more feminine dudes, and literally being reduced to Body Type 2 (ironically, not even #1). Now that that's all dealt with, the next low hanging fruit is excessively brawny and showy dudes. Now, if I recall, MK1's outfits ARE different from the newer games, but do you really expect me to believe a statement by NRS that they want to be "accurate" to how MK1 was years ago? :cirno_laugh: Considering the new cash shop, accuracy is the last excuse they could pull for this release.
At least, that's the development of my stupid analysis on the state of things.
