   It was discovered that the foreigners (南蛮) imported by the court eunuchs for labor were not doing any work, but worse, that they were engaging in sodomy (雞姦) while boasting of their prowess with women. Puzzled, the villagers went to the Master for an explanation.
   The Master replied: “Foreigners, like animals, seek instant gratification wherever they can find it. Just as the dog will rut on a leg as quickly as a bitch, so too will these men copulate with each other. Furthermore- it is plain to see that their women are already very mannish in appearance, and they know little of physiology, so perhaps it is only their nature to take whatever ugly bodies are available and attempt to join essence (合氣) with whatever doorway is convenient.”
