@coolboymew @Moon not really dread.
I'll give an example.
Without it, say there's an article I want to read. I will struggle to even make it through even the 1st paragraph and even if I read every single word chances are that I'll have no idea what I just read at the end.
With the Adderall I can do it pretty easily. Still harder for me than someone without ADHD but it brings me to a point where I can easily manage it.
Additionally, sitting at a desk doing boring work for a whole shift is nearly impossible without the Adderall and I'll only get maybe ¼ of my normal work done.
If you don't have ADHD then taking Adderall won't really help you and may make it harder to focus. You'll also have trouble sitting still which is the opposite effect it has for people with ADHD.
ADHD is pretty much a dopamine deficiency in the brain thought to be caused by a lower than normal amount of dopamine receptors. Amphetamines like Adderall causes your neurons to both release more dopamine and also keeps them from reabsorbing the dopamine as quickly. Methylphenidate (i.e. ritalin and concerta) only keeps your neurons from reabsorbing dopamine as quickly but to a greater extent than amphetamines do so the end result is pretty similar. It's all about getting dopamine levels around normal.
For people without ADHD it'd produce an excessive amount of dopamine.
Here's a really good video that explains what ADHD is like. I actually learned some things from this video. It described things I've experienced my whole life but never knew it was a symptom of ADHD. It was really eye opening. Also helped me identify the cause of things so I've been able to better manage them and actually improve.
