I am holding a handful of hop shoots. They are a little longer than my hand, not really green yet, more whiteish (because they barely grew above the ground). Hop shoots look a little like asparagus, but thinner (and taste similiar). You can also see dirt behind my nails and a sleeve of my green hoodie and jeans jacket on it. In background there are some dryed vines, which are previous year hop plants (yes, hops grow in vine style).
