NEWS CONSUMER RULE: If journalism you are reading quotes both sides of an event/issue without providing a report on what is actually happening, contact the news outlet and complain. Complain about this in public on social media. Point out the both-sidesing and the inadequacy of the reporting.
And if you're a subscriber, consider buying better media if the news outlet won't change its practices.
News consumption shouldn't be passive.
