   >The US state department is worried that Xi Jinping is positioning himself as a "man of peace" after he successfully negotiated peace terms between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and also is leading efforts to end war in Yemen and Syria.
   >Zelensky is reportedly open to Chinese-led diplomatic efforts, as China has never sided with Russia but is also close-enough to Russia that Putin will place trust in Xi.
   >Xi Jinping's peace plan reportedly is based on the idea of Ukraine and Russia agreeing to demilitarize the border areas of their countries, ban NATO deployments to Ukraine, and would be backed by massive Chinese-backed funding for Ukrainian rebuilding. Xi Jinping is reportedly prepared to offer Ukraine $450 billion in aid for rebuilding, on the condition that Zelensky accepts some territorial concessions and neutrality status.
