While most believe she's spotted at the youkai mountain mostly, that's not quite right, the only ones who actively keep lookout on the mountain are the wolf tengu, but I dread those who meet the wolves similarly never reappear. The bird rather prides herself in her speed and her journalistic knowledge, so she'll be all around the place looking for interesting people. Just keep your head low to avoid being seeming interesting and you should avoid becoming tengu breeding fodder. Strangely enough she also seems to appear quite often at the Hakurei Shrine, so it's possibly a dangerous place when the shrine maiden isn't around.
