   One of my prior employers nearly had my facilities' power cut due to non payment. This occurred because no one bothered to tell the power company that the company HQ moved, nor did anyone bother to set up a forwarding address to the new HQ, and the power company didn't bother trying a method other than mail to reach their client (they want to sell power, after all), and didn't bother sending mail to the facility itself (where I had been working for months by that time).
   
   It was a vortex of stupid all around, and I firmly believe that the NY government would have done something like this, because I've seen similar.
