   @ceo_of_monoeye_dating @EdBoatConnoisseur @SIC_Guy @SuperSnekFriend @Kyonko802 @bleedingphoenix Meguca is more of a deconstruction of the genre, though not because it's got dark aspects. It's not the first nor last to have a lot of the elements it does, but it uses the dark tone to take a more mature glance at the subtle consequences of it's tropes that other shows glance over.
   
   So it's generally one you want to push out a series or so before checking in so you can get the baseline normal to really feel out the tropes it's playing straight.
   
   Also Homura is my favorite, she's cute.
