Africans have a harder time with the concept of concepts. They sometimes don't even have words for simple things like numbers, shapes, or colors, let alone more complex concepts like "obligation," "motivation," or "investment."
As such, counterfactuals and hypothetical scenarios simply slide off them. There is no such thing as the future.
