   I still don't quite believe the story as presented, just to get enough hands-off treatment there had to be some backroom massaging on the CIA's part. Governments get weird when you hover around positions of interest, the fact the team was stupidly making enough of a scene to stick in someone's mind and be reported all these months later means there were probably a dozen people who kind of looked into it, and were probably told to mind their own business it's "fine"

   Also the article admits the CIA knew about the plan from the start
