@Kyonko802 Even if I were to assume the best in this guy and the game wasn't made out of spite for visual novels or such, it's so clearly made with no experience in the genre. The only things I've ever seen post about "jokes that land" or "good writing" from this shit are jokes or writing that easily could've been in any other genre or format on the planet. A lot of them would work just as well in a puzzle game.
This game is hardly a deconstruction or subversive of visual novels as the thread starts with, it's just a lot of simple jokes ranting about the late 2000s that uses VNs as an easy target for insults to bring in the normalfags who wouldn't normally touch the genre nor game.
If you really wanted a VN about kinda bad people and less than ideal relationships for a 2000s school setting, Yume Miru Kusuri is very genuinely written and doesn't try to subvert or change the genre.
