   Nobody really takes stock of how shitty it must be for a young woman who knows her father can't and won't actually protect her in a pinch.

   They know, in their hearts, that their tim walz-alike "dad" would do nothing more than shout and call the police if a predator made it into her apartment.

   There're a bunch of liberals like that. Ask what they would do in a home invasion and they'll say "well there's no need to KILL someone for breaking in, my husband has a baseball bat, a frying pan, SOMETHING other than a gun"

   Not long ago my pet gf confessed that as a child, she just knew that she couldn't count on her parents actually wielding violence in her protection. It's a totally different way of life the way we live, where we refuse to let our ladies head into the brown part of town after sundown. Where we load up for a midnight trip to walmart like we're prepping for a gunfight.

   It just has to do something to a little girls' mind. It has to seed that nihilism. I'm not worthy of being protected, I'm only alive because I'm lucky, I have no right to ask daddy to fight for me.

   It's so bleak.
