   I recall the observation about Star Wars toys and merchandise, that no matter how many newer movies or characters there are, the merch that moves is using visuals from the original trilogy. Darth Vader and the Death Star sell, Kylo Ren and Dexxter Jetster do not.

   GU is selling Ghost in the Shell shirts here and now in 2024, not depicting SAC_2045 (2020~22) or Arise (2013~16), but the OG Standalone Complex (2002~05)

   I find the parallel amusing.
