if you recall, i did not start out in this lunatic ecosystem. i fell into it as an experiment in immutable/ephemeral computing. i've only been a maintainer/contributor for ~18mo until recent.
the technology is interesting and really challenging, but in the end i can't in good faith be part of a system that prioritizes politics over code.
i come from the 80s/90s of bsd/bell labs/sco/sun/eventually what would be linux. things were simple. i'm slowly getting back to simple days.
there's a system that i will not be migrating this month which is where keys/secrets are forged in an airgap environment with subsequent custodian flow. i have to redesign it a bit, but eventually it will swap
i've been experimenting with bsd and debian again and the automation required to configure my systems. my hard drives are happy and i'm not blowing through bandwidth overages every month.
let's talk offline, i'd like to catch up.
