   @leespringfield1903 @VaxxSabbath @WashedOutGundamPilot @MeBigbrain Until recently, the late 19th to early 20th century, large portions of the west didn't allow divorce at all. America was a forerunner in the field of feminism, with the puritans and some other oddball groups legalizing divorce here before it was even legal in Britain.
   Also, it's rather telling that one of the first things that happened after the king was guillotined in France was the legalization of divorce.
