This roku smart color bulb is pecular. Well what's nice about it is that the color lights are bright. Most smart bulbs have dim color lights that are only good for ambiance, not for lighting a room. But the colors are not very pure, especially the red, it's not very red it's like salmon read or pyrotechnic red. It must be using phosphor LEDs (blue LED with red phosphor). Maybe it's necessary for this brightness because red LEDs are too dim and inefficient.
It uses PWM to mix the colors, but the PWM patterns look strange... like why is there yellow and red in the coldest white and why is there cyan in blue? See video in previous post of cycling through colors..
Would be very interesting to pop the top off and see what's inside
