   I see this every time there's a redemption story, they perform this gay little dance about never forgiving the guy's past evils (which is the point of the story, repentance lets you crawl out the pit of suffering you dig for yourself) as long as it's straight.

   If you made Eris Greyrate a little redheaded boy, then they'd be high fiving each other over how torrid and star crossed that homosexual love affair is. But since it's a medieval world where the guy marries some type of cousin and has actual children and a family, they have to put on a show about how they disapprove of it.

   (It's kind of hard NOT to find lots of cousins within a horse ride's distance. Few understand the strangling effect of actual transportation before we designed mechanised vehicles. People are very retarded when they imagine everyone in their ancestry had the same buffet of sexual selection they do today)
