   bit of trivia: Moriya Shrine is heavily based on the area of Lake Suwa (hence Suwako) in the Nagano prefecture. the shrines that stand around there often receive Sanae-themed offerings, and there is even a Touhou-themed cafe as shown here. while the Hakurei shrine is the more iconic location in Gensokyo, Sanae and her shrine allude to a real-life location in Japan. if I ever visit Japan one day this would be a priority stop.
