@DarkMahesvara @hispanicweeb Mozilla's top priority is just paying their directors bonuses, and sucking google's dick, since they made themselves financially dependent on them. I became aware of that again by following the tragedy that is JPEG-XL (non-)adoption. It's better than Google's ugly kitbashed pseudo image formats (they're all just video intra frames), but doesn't get adopted because Google doesn't have full control over it, since it's a proper standard, not some strong-armed bullshit a monopoly made up.
Mozilla decided to sabotage JXL the moment their keeper decided that the format needs to die.

The 2017 date is also mentioned there as the date any real development on Firefox stopped, and they focused on BS like pocket and that VPN nobody asked for.
