@synapsid A while back my girl wore this cute, modest little dress that was a nice linen weave with a pleated skirt, the neckline came up to keep it from showing more than a hint of cleavage, but overall it was formfitting enough to see her body and be that kind of hot-cute to a guy. (One pictured is similar but her doesn't have lace, is opaque linen with a ribbon to take it in at the belt and another to adorn the chest)
I love it, it's got a little bow that wraps around and she gets me to tie it for her just right before we go out to things. Very cute and there's something about the ritual of tying each other's ties before we head out, like armor for a couple gearing up to fight on the social battlefield.
We went to a neighbor bbq, and she ended up taking an AP slug from one of the fat hags (a gold digging roastie daughter of friendly neighbors) when one gossiped about her saying "oh can you believe that? she dresses like a little girl! It's so embarrassing! How can she walk around like that!"
It hit her hard when she heard about it, we hadn't been together long and she saw it as someone who would be a peer telling her she was just a stupid little kid who didn't belong with the grown ups. She didn't wear dresses w/ ribbons for more than a year after that, all it took was ONE jealous roaster to put the insecurity brainworm in charge again. She just couldn't get that the gold digger was angry that everyone loved the cute new girl, all the olds love her and we got very solid "couple game".
