@nike I guess I've just broken my brain because I used this exact picture a year ago today to talk about the same fight and say the same thing. I feel bad even thinking about all this, I hate bringing it up here because I know it's tough for people w/ strong ties to Ukraine but I just need to let it out from working with so many NAFO-tier cheerleaders for the "rules based international order". To these gen X and boomer war-enjoyers, the Ukraine war is just a niggerball season with mechanized combat.

It really gets to me having them fwd vids of a despairing 19 year old trying to scramble through the mud and live another day...only to be horrifically maimed by a drone to the anonymous laughter of some faggots in a control room. Nobody seems to give a shit about the actual blood being spilled, it's just a team sport to them on both sides. The "bad guys" are stand ins for trump or biden, there's nobody weeping for boys on the ground. They're faceless, inhuman baddies just like battle droids, chitauri, stormtroopers, or, of course, orcs.

It's very blackpilling to read through my old thread from March 2023 and realize it's all the same, hardly anything has changed except for tens of thousands of men and boys are dead now. They should have been finishing school, getting married, and having children to bring up like them - fighters willing to protect their homeland, continue the bloodline, destroy their enemies. Instead those bloodlines are extinct, gone forever, millions of people who could have one day been will now no longer be.

It really makes my heart sink when I ponder this, it's a slow motion, protracted national suicide, and it's so, so much worse seeing people try and pretend it's the same as an HBO miniseries where they show you a gruesome death and say "nah fuck that guy I hated his character, such a dick, he deserved to have his eyeballs slashed"
