   high fantasy dystopia basic concept: they figure out how to make mana potions really, really, really cheaply and this led to rapid magi-industrialization where all workers are required to quaff mana potions constantly to keep work going.

   you don’t sleep anymore.

   your body is so tolerant of such rapid mana regeneration that to go without may kill you.

   if you fight for your rights and try to unionize, you get replaced by an ogre or orc.

   peak mana is when peoples’ mana regeneration is so naturally stunted from abusing this that they cease having mana altogether and it collapses over time.
