   I've never done this before but I agree with Ben Shapiro, just not for the reasons he has.
   
   Government retirement needs to end and the ponzi scheme of social security needs to be abolished. Retirement should be in your hands.
   
   The government cannot be trusted to shepherd money for you. Whatever you paid in to social security is already gone and the people paying your social security now will likely never get to benefit from the system because its a pyramid scheme from its inception.
   
   I'm sorry the last generation let the government go to the social security coffers over and over and over and over again but in the end if you leave a giant pool of money sitting somewhere the government is going to find a way to waste it.
   
   You could have prevented this and you didn't.
   
   I also see people saying "Pay it out in one lump sum and end it". Sorry, that isn't how it works. The government doesn't actually have its own money, thats still just expecting people to cover your losses. The government robbed you. Many such cases. Better luck next time
