   @eric Real, I often over build and am left with a heavy surplus so I pause construction and just resume once the private sector catches up and stablizes my surplus.

   The opium wars never happened because I didn't kick the British out. I teamed up with the Shogunate to expel the French who were trying to annex parts of Kyushu and Honshu. The Japanese are now in a part of my customs union.

   I took back Macau from the Portuguese because I felt like it. Russia is not getting Outer Manchuria or Mongolia, and I will annex Tibet maybe. The Century of Humiliation never happened the Qing rule forever.
