   @Royper "why do we buy from car dealers?" Well, it's an interesting story!

   As it happens, the car dealership industry is closely intertwined with the story of jewish-americans since the turn of the century. Lev Shmulunberg lobbied then-president Taft to outlaw the sale of all "motored carriages" under a scheme he said would "prevent mass slaughter amongst the goyistiche" - basically, for safety's sake.

   And other jews were quick to jump on the bandwagon, since they were systematically excluded from manual labor in the antisemitic USA. Jewish people couldn't be coal miners, build railways, or even cotton pickers back then, so they had no choice but to create car dealerships, and so....
