   @deadheat the secret to fishmans success is that he's smarter than he presents himself. And I think he does it to hide any threat he poses.
   
   The proof is that he's been able to carve a niche in an industry that other people actively try to copy. Every businessman's dream.
   
   Here's his plan:
   1 - he actively makes all his vtubers unique. By offering a diverse set of vtubers none of them overlap with each other and when they incline they become more impressive. The slow growth pays off as now you don't just have Pippa fans, you have Tenma fans, Lia fans, this will pay off in the long run.
   2 - the loose rules that the vtubers have allows Phase Connect to always be "alternative" to the norm. All the other vtubing companies seem to actively copy being an idol company, ASMR gfe company, gamer company. Phase gets known as the "coffee company" which brings more attention even though it's a meme.
   
   On the JP side, he was apparently listening in the interviews but didn't say anything. I know what he did he was checking on the sound of their voices. All the new JPs are very good at their "voice" and they're all consistent and unique. The Japanese tend to have problems with characters that seem too different but every JP phase member in the new gen have unique looks and proper voices for their looks.
   
   Fishman knows a lot. Which worries me but also makes me hopeful for Phase Connect's success. :pippa_soypoint:
