I'm in my 40's and been working with IT since high school. I'm thinking of getting out and turning my volunteer firefighting role into a full time job. I find fire fighting less stressful than IT. From metaphorically putting out fires, to literally putting out fires. Yeah, but in real fires you don't have some idiot C level exec pouring petrol all over himself and around his house all while demanding me to save him while saying it's my fault his house is burning down.
