   @aral Disliked Go from the beginning because it smells like Google. As you say, this telemetry idea should be no surprise.

   Unfortunately I like Rust a lot. Looking at the members of the Rust foundation causes me lots of cognitive dissonance.

   Google as a platinum member of the Rust foundation? Looks tainted somehow even though I don't really understand the influence of the Rust foundation on the Rust ecosystem.

   Where would you draw the line between googlyfied and googlefree?
