this is a screenshot from the ko-fi donations page for radio free fedi. it shows a fundraising goal of NZ $6500, with a meter showing that this goal is already 61% achieved! the text in the screenshot reads: 2023 was amazing for the RFF community. It was less amazing for the maintainer. Short version, we can't afford a repeat. Help us to keep RFF a focus for 2024 by donating to the human maintainer. Cheers. We would love to have more durable and dependable support via monthly recurrings. If you do this we'll project it out a year and adjust the goal amount. Otherwise one-offs for this goal are also super appreciated. i have added red text of my own on top of the screenshot, just to point out that the remaining amount left in the fundraiser is about NZ $2500, which is about €1400 / US $1,500, which is very doable! let's do this, fedi music community!

🚨 PLEASE BOOST INTO MUSIC SPACES 🚨
many of us on here have benefitted tremendously over the last year from the tireless efforts of the person behind the mighty Radio Free Fedi
all of their work over the last year building RFF was uncompensated. that is no longer sustainable for them
i'd like to ask 2 things of the fedi music community:
1) make as generous a $ contribution as you can at https://ko-fi.com/ctrlfrk
2) make a post like this one, in your own words, encouraging others to donate
